True story: today I got a text message from an unknown number. This same unknown number had sent me birthday wishes, and I thought it would be sort of a dick move to answer "Happy birthday!" with "Thanks! Who is this?" Oh, how little did I know. Today, the unknown number texts me, and asks me to be a bridesmaid in their wedding.

There's a very thin connection between that story and the one to follow. I... don't really like weddings. I wrote this for gyzym and aredblush because they are crazy people who encourage me to be crazy at every turn. Also, seriously, gyzym did everything shy of holding me at gun point to make me write it.

jibrailis wrote an AMAZING fill for this prompt, Flannel: A Love Story, which you should all go read if you haven't yet, because, see earlier re: AMAZING.

aredblush read this story, and then drew adorable art for it!

In the comments of that post, aredblush said, "I WANT ALL THE FLANNEL FICS IN THE WORLD! GIVE ME ALL OF IT! ESPECIALLY IF THE FLANNEL IS EAMES' AND ARTHUR BORROWS IT AND THEN HE WILL BE IN OVERSIZED FLANNEL THAT SMELLS LIKE EAMES!"

I filled this request with the story I posted in the dead of night last night/this morning, Like I Wanna Live Now, because I've apparently given up the ghost of writing something that isn't so fluffy cotton candy takes a step back to say, "whoa, whoa... that is fluffy."

I've been vaguely irritated ALL DAY by the stupid town I live in, which has apparently managed to break yet another water main. Awesome. >:(

So, I'm watching Killshot, because, you know, JGL. And JGL is playing a redneck, terrible (redneck) accent, loud, dumb, petty criminal, haircut that reminds me of terrible 80s Keanu Reeves.

I... am still flailing in fangirl glee. I am just not even alright with how much I adore this dude, my god.

In other, less crazy news, Thomas Jane is also hot, and far less crazynuts in this movie.

So, it's not that I wasn't aware that JGL has a twitter and a tumblr, it's just that I do not, so checking these things is not an automatic thing for me. This is a disclaimer to say: late comment is late, basically.

So, JGL has apparently decided I wasn't already fangirling him enough. A few days ago, he posted my favorite quote from The Princess Bride (aka my favorite movie ever).

So, last night after finally getting my brain to shut down and go to sleep sometime after 4 this morning, I woke up suddenly around 6 plagued with thoughts of a Puck/Kurt fic. Because my brian hates me. It's the self-appointed!bodyguard fake!boyfriend fic! The summary would be: Puck thinks he's Batman, Kurt thinks he's nuts, and everyone else thinks they're dating.

However, in the harsh light of slightly-more-than-two-hours-of-sleep, it seems like it would be ill-advised to write a story filled with Batman jokes, since I just wrote a Puck/Kurt fic filled with Clark Kent and other comic book superhero jokes. Thoughts? Suggestions? Opinions?

I am behind on e-mails, and comments, and TV, but right at this moment I'm waiting for my mom to get off the phone so I can watch Shutter Island. Look at me, extending my movie marathoning to Hot Inception Actors. Though, seriously, I'm going right back to JGL. Brick is burning a hole in my instant queue.

Also, my mother failed to record White Collar in order to get Top Chef Masters or some other ridiculous reality cooking show. I am not pleased, not please at all.

Times like these, I need a JGL cranky-face icon. He gives the best cranky-face. It makes me giggle every time.

Last night, I stayed up way later than I should have not writing, but watching Stop-Loss. It was surprisingly good? I mean, I tend to not go for war movies, but, well, JGL. Apparently I'm willing to watch just about anything for that dude and all the epic amounts of awesome he totes around. It helps that the other dudes weren't hard to look at, either. Depth, you guys, I am missing it. Anyway, JGL as a fucked up soldier! Singing terrible songs with a terrible country twang and playing guitar and smiling.

Then I watched the special features. And, ugh, I don't even know how he is real. "I then I pretended to kill a guy... That was fantastic." I walked away from that somehow even more charmed. I didn't know it was even possible!

Then I looked at his twitter and realized the dude managed to send himself flying through the back window of a cab... and then demanded someone film his injuries before he went to the ER so he could put it on the internet.
