Sign ups for [livejournal.com profile] remixredux09 end tomorrow. or, um, today. Whatever, the point is, don't miss out! Sign up now! Make your friends sign up! It's remix and I fought hard for bandom so I want lots of stories out of it. I'm going to have to be very stern on this point.

If I do not have Chicago tickets by, like, 10:05 in the morning, I'm probably going to throw a temper tantrum to end all tantrums. My mom and I are totally gonna tag team livenation too, to hopefully lessen the odds that I have to punch someone in the face.

Here, have a little more than a drabble thingy.

HOLY SHIT IF THIS IS FOR REAL I MIGHT DIE. IF IT'S NOT FOR REAL I MIGHT.

BLINK! PANIC! FOB! IT'S LIKE HEAVEN IN A CONCERT.

Except the tour dates closest to me are during school days and I for real and for true could not give less of a fuck. I am going, going, going.

I want St. Louis, Kansas City & Dallas at the very least. I will miss school, I don't even care. Do you think I could get a doctors note? Since clearly I am sick?

Who else is going? To what shows? WILL YOU LET ME GO WITH YOU BECAUSE EVERYONE I KNOW IN RL IS LAME AND FAILS TO UNDERSTAND MY GLEE.

OMG. BRB, DYING. ECSTATIC DOES NOT COVOR OMG.

their stupid faces, omg
So, I need like, a 12 step program for concerts. Like and AA for Live Music Addicts.

I'm not saying I'd go, really, I just like to know that I have the option.

Which pretty much translates to OMG FOB I WANT TO WATCH YOU LIVE FOREVER.

Seriously, it's been over a week now, but I kind of don't have the words even a little bit at all. I love sitting my ass in line and meeting other people who love these bands as much as I do. I love being in the crowd. I love "detox just to retox" and "I will never believe again" and "hell or glory, I don't want anything in between."

I love music. I love all of it.

I've also got a new layout ([livejournal.com profile] angelgazing) thanks to [livejournal.com profile] sleepismyfriend, the banner is made with pictures she actually took at our show, and, again, OMG PETE WENTZ YOUR FACE.

I'm doing this stupid thing where I'm kind of in love with life for no good reason.

Everyone should feel like this once in a while.

maybe I just like to be contrary.
As is typical for me, now that I'm at the hard part of my big bang (you know, the part where I have to like, figure out a plot, so I can use something other than exclamation points and "you know" to describe it) I want to write something completely different.

With road trips and mixtapes and summer rain storms and pining and a style I miss writing in.

I settled for a drabble for now.

I'm in the misery business, bitch
The keywords for this icon are "pete doing what he does best" but only because I don't have an icon of him being a complete tool. Don't misunderstand me, I think I love him best at his tooliest. I just feel like pointing this out.

Because, frankly, I don't think you all have realized the level to which I am a total lameass for all things bandom.

What time I haven't spent reading/flailing about Frank/Gerard in the last two days (hint: very, very little) I have spent thinking about how much I would kill for a MCR/FOB/PatD tour. They could all coheadline! Names would be drawn out of hats to see who plays last that night! (Naturally, CS, GCH, TAI, TC, The Maine & Paramore would also have to attend this dream tour of mine.) It would have to be a short tour, and the profits, I think, would have to go toward funding music in schools.

I would sell everything I own, and also possibly die.

Anyway, I decided I need something to tear me away from the vast amounts of Frank/Gerard fic I still haven't read cause I'm so very late to this game, so I can actually write my damn big bang. (at least one of them!) So I bought Guitar Hero World Tour.

My plans are not always the best plans.

This is my fence sitting icon! Because I am still fence sitting on 360 vs. Wii. THE INTERNET IS NOT HELPING ME. What's up with that?

Also, I suspect that my big bang will be Frank/Gerard. Which is weird, ok, because out of all of bandom, MCR is the one I read the very least. And usually, even then, there is Panic involved.

Maybe I can bring Pete and Bden in with Frank. It can be a like a secret club you can't be a member of if you are over four feet tall, or named Patrick, because I suspect the club is mostly them sitting around mooning and being laughed at by Bob Bryar.

He's a fucking rock star, man, he can get away with that shit.

my tinhatting abilities are awe inspiring to others
1) Ryan and Spencer are now living with Brendon. It's like, seriously, bandom, you guys. Just when you think you can't slash them anymore, they go and move in together and get jealous of "deluxe model" air mattresses. I couldn't make this shit up!

2) I have decided, there is a perfectly reasonable explanation about the current rumors about Jared cheating on his husband dating the girl who plays Ruby. It goes kind of like this:

The rumors don't start because the cast goes out to dinner together.

The rumors start when a reporter overhears Jared on the phone, laughing, saying, "Aw, Jen, baby, don't worry, I'll always love you best."

Jensen knows it's better that they thought of her.

He still kind of wants to correct them.

Feel free to discuss either of these points.

Coke has a new ad campaign, right? Well, they're supposed to. Either way, Brendon Urie, Patrick Stump and, uh, I'm pretty sure Travis McCoy, um among others do the new song for it. I might just, I might just be a little in love.

I've maybe had it on repeat since last night. I want to dig out the stuff so I can use it as an alarm clock in the mornings. Seriously.

I am that lame.

Also, also, CHUCK. CHUCK IN 3D.

He's so freaking cute. I'd like to put him on a screen with Jensen. And maybe Jared. I'd either laugh myself into a coma, or die from all the hot/cute/adorable.

It's kind of a toss up as to which would be better, honestly.

There has to be that crossover somewhere...

...my life isn't a box of chocolates so much as bag of horrible flavored jelly beans
Points on proof:

1) The kid who works at the Family Dollar looks just like Mikeyway. Like, emo glasses version. I managed to want to do kind of obscene things to him all while being creeped out because he. kept. looking. at. me.

2) One of my very best friends and all around favorite people (who gets me drunk! oh, god, so drunk...) is... No, no, listen, she is trying to set me up. Which, yeah, I get a lot. (Spinsterdom is me at my best. What?) But! No, see, she's trying to set me up with her ex husband. ::hands::

3) I just don't even know what to do with that.

4) We Believe in Barack Obama (he loves you and he loves your mama) Register to vote! Pretend this post is worth something and not just stress induced lack of sleep rambling!

5) The vids going around for the new PatD tour fill my heart so deeply with want. So, so deeply.

6) Am trying to con my brother into buying me tickets to Cobra Starship and Metro Station for my birthday. I argue that I will be spending at least that much on booze for his!

7) Seriously, the world is mocking me. Due to the unhappy work related news I had to cancel the DirecTv install that was supposed to be going on tomorrow. Which, yeah, means I have to wait to watch SPN. Oh, oh, my life is so hard. None of you* understand my pain!

8) And we'll all float on ok / and we'll all float on anyway (Cause sometimes, I just need to hear that it'll be ok. Figured I should share that.)

* Yes, yes, I know. But this is my melodrama. I really don't even know how you all stand it. I might have to learn. I might have to flee the country come November.

Um. Hi.

I have lots, bunches, tons that I could say about Warped Tour '08 in Boner Park Bonner Springs, KS, but I think I will sum it up with: OMGOMGOMGTAI! OMG COBRA! COBRA FUCKING STARSHIP OMG OMG GYM CLASS OMG SUNBURN OMG RAIN OMG MERCH OMG WHO DOESN'T TAKE VISA OMG STORM OMG BILL BECKETT!

Wait, no, I lied.

I will also say: seriously, Cobra Starship made me do stupid dance moves. Bill Beckett, in person, is so adorable I kind of want to keep him forever and ever, and I might not even judge him for his taste in girls jeans. I have never in my life tried so hard, while absolutely dripping-water-soaking-wet, to talk people into just going with me and driving for, oh, 8-10 hours straight to see the same thing we just saw.

So many great things. Nate playing with TAI! Beckett and Travie coming on for Bring It! Peace sign up, index down! Beckett being adorable and letting a little girl cut in line. And, you know, being adorable. Why, oh why did I always boggle at the love for him before? Possibly I love his haircut.

Possibly, maybe, there is a chance, that I just fucking love every single ounce of bandom canon.

Also: I can't wait for Warped Tour '09

leave yourself for somebody else
Let's talk about boys and music!

Well, no, because mostly my talks about such things are OMG BDEN'S VOICE OMG RYAN ROSS FINGERS FTW OMG JON WALKER HAS AN ENDLESS AMOUNT OF AWESOME OMG OMG SPENCER SMITH HOW DARE YOU ROCK THAT HEADBAND LIKE YOU DO.

So really, we'll just, you know, vid rec!

Think of it as My Ode to The Honda Civic Tour '08

Phantom Planet has no right to be so awesome - I dunno, this is some video from the tour, the guys from PatD and Phantom Planet playing around. Ryan Ross dancing with a football. Ah, ah, I really love this song, too. It's ridiculous how adorable they are.

The Green Gentleman PatD vid - Because, a) the song makes my heart happy; b) Brendon Urie is the biggest dork on the PLANET & c) wee!Panic! Wee!RyanRoss with wee!scarves! Shut up! Watch it! I never said I missed her, when everybody kissed her/ Well I'm the only one to blame

Knowitall, Phantom Planet (acoustic) - I guess this was filmed after one of the shows on the HCT, and it just goes to show, listen, people, seriously: Phantom Planet is FULL OF AWESOME. They stand around and give you autographs and let you take pictures and make sure the pictures turn out and then there is this: singing on the steps outside the venue for like, twenty people. Motherfuckin' A.

Where We Went Wrong, The Hush Sound (acoustic) - ok, fine, I don't even remember if they played this song on this tour or not. But it's totally one of my favorites anyway. And everyone should love it, flist. EVERYONE.

A clip from like, '06, where Brendon Urie sings with The Hush Sound - um, because I am a weak, weak little fangirl. This video also features: proof that white guys should not dance; 17 things that make me flail or keysmash; like, 6 things that make me wonder WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME OMG WHAT HAS BANDOM DONE TO ME.

L. G. FUAD, Motion City Soundtrack - In concert, they say before they start this one that it's a song about stupid people doing stupid things. I think it makes my day a little better when I listen to it at work. let me in, let me in to the club/ because I want to belong and I need to get stung/ and if memory serves I'm addicted to words

The Future Freaks Me Out, Motion City Soundtrack - this is, hands down, my favoritest favorite Motion City song. It's fun, and makes you want to move, and it still has lyrics like Betty won't quit carving question marks in my wrist/ how come we're so alone? and it's so hard to relate to the whole human race/ I don't know where to begin, I don't know where to begin/ if we could just find a way, to do these things that we say/ we might not sit in our room and drink our daydreams away

Folking Around, PatD, live - I guess this was on MTV Canada, but, you know, it's the HCT set and clothing (oh, Ryan Ross, your vests will so not rule the world, even if they rule your band) so. I love this song. I love this song as much as I love a boy with a guitar. I love the way Ryan Ross waves at the crowd. I love the lyrics. I love the way Spencer Smith turns around to smile at the camera. Oh, god, so much love, people, seriously. One day, I will get a tattoo that says: is love is not enough, to put my enemies to sleep.

Ok. Go. Watch. Enjoy!

Ok, my brain can be summed up by this story:

I went shopping for father's day presents today and innocently, (INNOCENTLY!) entered Hot Topic, on the search for a Pink Floyd shirt for my dad.

SEE MY INTENTIONS WERE GOOD.

Forty-five minutes later I left with said Pink Floyd shirt, as well as, um, a new Panic shirt, and a Cobra Starship shirt and a Gym Class Heroes shirt.

And glow in the dark nail polish.

OMG BANDOM WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME?!
