a place where they will never find
Today, I ranaway from home long enough to go watch How to Train Your Dragon, which I loved. It was adorable and hilarious and adorable.

Then, after a light bought of shopping, I returned home to find my family over for a Memorial Day get together. This involved 6 children under the age of 5, you guys. I wanted to die. They didn't leave until after 9, the last hour of which was spent talking about how it was past their bedtimes and that's why they were so crabby and wouldn't stop crying. I was deeply unimpressed. I remain deeply unimpressed.

I also sold my soul signed another contract with [livejournal.com profile] luzdeestrellas for a year long word count writing challenge. I am determined to win this time. I am determined to win hard.

Um. This might require that you all remind me of it, from time to time.

file under: things I'll learn to regret
Consider this a legally binding internet contract, posted here so I have a place to point, when [livejournal.com profile] luzdeestrellas loses like the giant loser that she is, and the fails to pay up, like the giant loser that she is. Also, I need witness signatures, please.

1) From October 21, 2009, henceforth known as now, until December 31, 2009, henceforth known as the end of the year, I, [livejournal.com profile] angelgazing will be racing with [livejournal.com profile] luzdeestrellas (loser), to see who ends up with the highest posted fictional story word count at the end of the year.

2) The loser of this competition ([livejournal.com profile] luzdeestrellas), will owe the winner (me), a story of their won choosing, no later than March 15, 2010.

3) Extended absences, vacations, academic requirements of a ridiculous nature, fandom hate and/or despair do not exempt either competitor from the competition. Total word count of posted stories will be tallied on January 1, 2010, and a winner and loser declared. Failure to produce said word count, for any reason, is a loss.

4) Failure of the loser ([livejournal.com profile] luzdeestrellas) to comply with the terms listed in the second paragraph of this contract, will be considered default. Losers found to be in default of terms will be opened to public ridicule, loss of the internet, and even failure at life.

Signed,

fic: ain't scared of lightning (the beer by beer remix) - spn rps - j2
I have painted the hallway, and between that and Wii boxing I may not be able to move at all tomorrow, because I am so very, very out of shape. Ow.

I have listened to New Perspective no less than 40 times, and Changes once. I'm trying really hard not to be mad at Ryan Ross for, you know, deciding it would be a good idea to release these things the same day. It's only kind of working, so I've decided to get back to him when New Perspective loses it's shine.

It might take a while, I'll admit.

The other remix story I wrote! A pinch hit for [livejournal.com profile] luzdeestrellas though lord knows I'm not fond of her or anything. Nor am I in anyway grateful for always being able to send her all kinds of ridiculous things about tiny emo boys whose names I bet she wishes she didn't know.

This one was hard to write just because Laura and I tend to write in pretty much the same style (which is probably why her beta-fu works for me so often?) so to try and do it differently was challenging. Plus it was a fandom that, though I've wanted to do for ages, I never actually had. This original, seriously, has one of my very favorite lines ever in J2 fic. It still makes me all "guuuh" after a hell of a lot of reads and stealing it for this one.

Title: Ain't Scared of Lightning (The Beer by Beer Remix)
Summary: If you want to drown yourself in it like it'll replace drowning yourself in him, well, it can be your best kept secret.
Rating: PG
Fandom: SPN RPF
Original Story: Ain't Scared of Lightning by [livejournal.com profile] luzdeestrellas
Notes: Lots of thanks to [livejournal.com profile] musesfool for all her help, and betaing, and coming up with the remix subtitling, and making the ending not suck.

don't pretend you've never been there
So, yeah, let's not talk about how badly I should be writing my small fandom big bang. Let's just not.

But! Hey, look, I'm not dead? Isn't that cool?

Let's just call this a fly by recs post of fluffy fluffivity. Or something, yeah? I like making up my own words.

The Negotiation Limerick File - Funny, funny, funny fic. Like, listen, people, really. This is what is so awesome about bandom. It can make me smile like no other. For so much emo, there is really so little angst. And anyway, super!secret!spy!fic FTW. We'll pretend it isn't a Panic/MCR crossover. Because I don't read MCR. I do not!

A Day Like Today - To myself, I call this fic PROOF THAT LAURA LOVES ME LIKE BREATHING. It's Sam! And Dean! And hugs! Dude, really, really, are there two boys in the world who need hugs more than Sam and Dean? I think not.

What Kind of Day Has It Been - Sam and Dean meet the Muppets! Just, you know what, just click it. You will, I swear, hand to god, you will laugh until you die.

Brendon Urie cover of Slow Motion - Vid rec! Mostly because it makes me flail around and tell anyone who will listen how OMG I WANT TO MARRY BRENDON URIE'S VOICE OMGOMGOMG HI. No, you know what, I don't know why. I just do. It's a sickness!

Also! OMG I WANT TO GO TO WARPED TOUR LIKE I WANT AIR OK. LIKE AIR! THE ACADEMY! COBRA STARSHIP! MOTHERFUCKING GYM CLASS HEROES! LIKE AIIIR, PEOPLE. DAMN YOU, HIGH FUEL PRICES, WHY MUST YOU CRUSH MY DREAMS?!

Also! Well, my fortune cookie today said: You have a charming way with words and should write a book.

I'm not even kidding.

I might laminate it to my computer.

the word is on the street...
O.M.G.

It's not sinking into 5 a.m. and I swear to god it could not have been more than 20 minutes ago that it was 1:30 and I clicked on a J2 fic link totally by accident!!!! that [livejournal.com profile] luzdeestrellas decided to post.

I knew there was a reason I didn't trust her.

Jesus.

I've got to haul my laundry to mommy's tomorrow and then there's a birthday party for a two year-old and house cleaning and the kind of famlily time that I don't typically enjoy so much.

And I want more fic.

What did I ever do without LJ?

where do all the porn stars go?
I am tired of math. Math is stupid. If I ruled the world, I would totally do away with that nonsense. I'm not sure how we would do, you know, anything, but I feel it's important to figure that one out.

There could be secret underground math rings.

And secret underground math ring busts.

In other news: [livejournal.com profile] luzdeestrellas is spreading vicious lies about me.

Let me just say here and now, for the record: Laura eats paste.

That is all.
