file under: things I'll learn to regret

Consider this a legally binding internet contract, posted here so I have a place to point, when [livejournal.com profile] luzdeestrellas loses like the giant loser that she is, and the fails to pay up, like the giant loser that she is. Also, I need witness signatures, please.

1) From October 21, 2009, henceforth known as now, until December 31, 2009, henceforth known as the end of the year, I, [livejournal.com profile] angelgazing will be racing with [livejournal.com profile] luzdeestrellas (loser), to see who ends up with the highest posted fictional story word count at the end of the year.

2) The loser of this competition ([livejournal.com profile] luzdeestrellas), will owe the winner (me), a story of their won choosing, no later than March 15, 2010.

3) Extended absences, vacations, academic requirements of a ridiculous nature, fandom hate and/or despair do not exempt either competitor from the competition. Total word count of posted stories will be tallied on January 1, 2010, and a winner and loser declared. Failure to produce said word count, for any reason, is a loss.

4) Failure of the loser ([livejournal.com profile] luzdeestrellas) to comply with the terms listed in the second paragraph of this contract, will be considered default. Losers found to be in default of terms will be opened to public ridicule, loss of the internet, and even failure at life.

Signed,

You know, I'm a notary in the state of New York, so if you wanted to draw this up and sign it, and provide me with ID, I could notarize it for you. *g*

In the meantime, consider it witnessed, though I am still a little miffed I was not asked to participate.

You were not asked to participate because I do not enter into competitions where I would lose.

I appreciate your witnessing of this document.

But then you would both have to write stories for ME and that would be AWESOME!

Like I don't anyway.

Also, seriously. I don't like to lose. It makes me cranky. My face would look like this: >:(

True, true.

Well, I know you have a list of things to work on, so get cracking!

[identity profile] angelgazing.livejournal.com 2009-10-22 07:29 pm (UTC)(link)
It's a very long and ridiculous list (http://angelgazing.livejournal.com/191782.html) that you are are least 50% to blame for, at this point.

I really need to make a writing icon.

Woo! Thank you! :D

Hmm. I'm not entirely sure, but I have suspicions that repeatedly declaring yourself the winner in the terms might well void the whole thing. I'm just, you know, putting that out there. (Also, I've just figured out why you asked if I didn't have some kind of law degree. I forgot to answer that, and also forgot to ask why I was answering.)

Anyway, I, [livejournal.com profile] luzdeestrellas, do hereby sign and agree and so on and whatnot.

I think that's what's known as trash talking.

You know, there are several stories you could write for me that would put you in the lead in this little competition...

Well, I knew you were slow, so it's really no surprise that you are just now figuring this out. After a great deal of thought and consideration, I've determined that internet contracts are not like regular contracts, and that if you didn't wish to be declared the loser that you are from the beginning, then you should've posted this in your LJ, like I said. See how it doesn't pay to ignore me? Do you?
