no, stop it, I mean it this time

I am posting this and then closing all things LJ until after my homework is done. No, no, I mean it. I cannot keep getting distracted by Inception fic. No, not even random comment fic I may be attempting to write where Arthur just kind of likes to have his hair played with. Whatever. You can't prove anything.

I'm sorry if I owe you comments, but first I must do this programming and biology homework so that I don't fail out of school and end up unemployable and miserable. Or, well, unemployable. I'd probably still have too much Inception fic to read to be miserable.

Look! Recs!

PASIV/ACTIV by [livejournal.com profile] jibrailis. You guys, you guys, the PASIV MADE THEM DO IT. I love this fandom. ♥♥♥
I wrote you a story, the PASIV said slyly during the third job. You might even call it an erotic story.

the pistol of a flower is its only protection against insects by [livejournal.com profile] stachelyjohnson.
Arthur is an assassin with lawn care problems. Eames... Really just creates a new set of problems. It should also be noted that I've never met a pun I didn't like.
"Do you understand what it takes to kill a cactus?" Eames asks, horrified. "It takes a man who is significantly less hospitable than the Sonoran Desert. It takes dedicated neglect to kill a cactus. No wonder your hedges are screaming."

Also, if you haven't seen them yet, [livejournal.com profile] aredblush drew INCEPTION MY LITTLE PONIES. These are legit the most adorable thing in existence.

Now that I've buttered you up, a question!

Let's say--hypothetically--that Eames were to woo Arthur through the love letters in the form of, say, crossword puzzles. And, because he is a brilliant and complex man, he would like to use many references to Romantic poets and poetry. Where, do you think, would be a good place for him to start?

::coughs::

Look! A meme!

As last seen with [livejournal.com profile] musesfool.

I've made a list of 15 characters. Give me wacky situations in the form of "1 and 3 are on a road trip. Where are they going?" and I will respond when I've got several requests.

Okay. Really now. Homework. ::is stern::

That sounds like an adorable idea for a story, I love it.

To be honest, you might want to consider branching out from the Romantics to other poems/lit because actually, a lot of Romantic poetry is not about romantic love (the name of the movement is a little misleading).

BUT, if you would like, I have a very basic power point introducing the Romantic movement in English poetry (basic, like, made for children) and also, somewhere (I think) another intro that I made for a uni seminar. You are welcome to have those.

But, yo, clues. I can help with those (I loooove crosswords). And pretty quotes. I can help with pretty quotes! :)

Oh! No, absolutely. It was just a starting point. There would also be ridiculous terms of endearment, and romcom references, and... I honestly don't even know. It's all a bit ridiculous, and more about how it reads afterward than the actual clues and answers. There would possibly even be an almost Sleepless in Seattle-esque side plot where everyone is trying to figure out WHO THE PUZZLES ARE FOR, and Arthur's just grumpy about the entire thing and how it messes with his routine.

Though, really, I'm just starting basic research, in order to try and figure out what I'm going to end up needing. So, I would totally love those power points! Because I love learning new things! Well, as love as I don't have to learn it. If I have to learn it, I'm typically much less enthusiastic about the entire thing.

Thank you for the help! And, wow, I will almost certainly take you up on the offer of help with clues, when I get to that point, too. :D

I HAVE MADE A POST FOR YOU. NO NEED TO THANK ME. IT IS MASSIVELY SELF-INDULGENT.
