I had no skill, but I had heart
To add to my list of purchases for the week:
Tickets to Cobra in Dallas and Kansas City.
Someone is going to need to take my credit card away from me.
Watch, now, Panic and MCR will decide to announce the tour dates I've been waiting on forever.
In news not related to my stimulation of the economy ("oh, oh, right there, right there, baby," the economy keeps saying to me) I am in the process of importing all my stories to AO3 in preparation of remix, and so, may I add, should you. However, I'm not sure if I should mess with the random things that I will sometimes throw up to LJ, like beginnings of stories that I decide not to use. So, a poll:

but but but they're playing the Uptown. :( I hate going to concerts there. Well...not hate, exactly. I just had an interesting Panic! experience that sorta turned me off. And I just really prefer the Beaumont. But! COBRAS! *conflicted*
...what do you think? Should I go? >_> I mean, I've been stimulating the economy quite a lot lately. (Mainly Empires' economy. I needed t-shirts? And a photo that TC took, because, well, Al? *sigh*)

I bought a Cobra Club membership just so I could avoid the hassle of fussing about not getting a code with Hot Mess AND preorder tickets without having to deal with TicketMaster or Live Nation, those bastards. So, um, Cobra Starship is getting so, so much of my monies. So, so much.
Was the Uptown where Panic played on HCT? I do not know KC places. ::hands:: I am, however, pretty unhappy by only being allowed to do will-call. I HATE will-call. I don't like not having an actual ticket in my hand, man.
Also, I am still DYING OF WANT for that Empires hoodie. I continue to kick myself for not hitting the ATM, or putting dinner on my card instead of using cash. Woe. WOE.

Cobras are probably getting MORE of your money because yikes that sound pricey, but I may have given $65 to Empires just this week alone. *hidesface* They're so easy to throw money at, why is that? Is it because they never want to take it? IS THAT THEIR MASTER PLAN, to be so adorable and failtastic that we can't help but shower cash upon them?
o_O Bwah. What is this about will-call only..? I've always bought from Ticketmaster and they send me tickets. *confused* But I don't have a membership with anybody, so I don't know how that works differently. I loathe will-call with a burning rage of...burning rage. Yes.
Yeah, Uptown was for HCT. It was packed with very small people who were a lot younger than me, and they were not particularly polite. >( (Neither was the mother who brought her kid and SHOVED me because "my eight-year-old can't see!" Picture a can of sardines times a gigantic theater floor, and that was how I felt, and you will know why getting shoved when I COULD NOT MOVE IN ANY DIRECTION WHATSOEVER was rather upsetting.)
Also, I was there by myself because I didn't know any KC Panic fans. So yeah. Alone in a can of sardines. @_@
I'm still mulling over that hoodie. On one hand, WANT. On the other, I will so spill mustard on it. Or grape juice, or carrot juice, or blood, or something else that will never ever come out, and then it will be RUUUUINED because that is what I do to white clothing. So I kind of want to just wait for a dark-colored hoodie. But. BUT. Want. *mulls*

EMPIRES. They are tricking us! They're all "lalala, here, have this AWESOME MUSIC FOR FREE. What, no, the shirts are only $15!" And then we buy up the store between us. I believe Shai and I told them that if they'd come to Tulsa we'd give them gas money, buy them dinner, and put them up in a place to stay. They are so tiny and adorable and sweet you just want to be all, "aww, honey, do you need lunch money?" I DON'T KNOW.
Yeah, I was in the balcony for that Panic show, because my sister-in-law was with me and she's itty bitty. But, in general, I think Panic shows are just that way. :\ I would never be brave enough to go by myself though. Hats off to you. I AM SO CHICKEN.
I have a white hoodie! I've had it for like, a year, and it has not met with disaster! I want, want, want, want, want it. Possibly tax refund monies will be going in an Empire-ly direction.

And omg, the KC HCT date was fucked beyond belief, negl. Although, I'm pretty sure that's where Treva made both Eric Ronick AND Jon Walker crack up. But no, that venue (if it's the one I'm thinking of) was both ridic hot and the security were all n00bs that didn't have a fuckin' clue. At one point, Zack came out with a damn spray-thing of water so we didn't all die. But, like I said, that may not be that venue. *sigh* If I wasn't lazy, I'd go check my concert journal just to be sure.
I AM ON A MISSION TO GET EMPIRES TO TULSA. I'm pretty sure I could round up enough fans in the area that we'd have them taken care of while they were here. :D I sent Tom the info for Dfest and a contact number for The Marquee, but who knows if he actually reads that shit.
....hey look, world's longest comment. I'm gonna go finish reading my flist and hit the hay now.

I SUPPORT THIS MISSION. I already pledged to throw in gas money/dinner for the boys. I would greatly enjoy them being at Dfest! Or just anywhere, really. I want to see them again nooow.
I, uh, am vaguely considering the idea of trying for a show every month this year. ::hands::

Also, SxSW is in March, too, I believe? And both Empires and The Young Veins are supposed to play. And AP.net just announced their SxSW line-up at Emo's which includes both The Cab, Hey Monday, and Every Avenue. WTH.

Oh, god, when are these dates? Have that announced them yet? Because, uh, YES, PLEASE. I think possibly every concert review could end with: NEEDS MOAR EMPIRES.
Um. Warped in Dallas on July 3rd? AAR (who I still haven't gotten to see), Mayday Parade, The Cab, Hey Monday, and Motion City? I want to go so bad it's ridiculous.
