important things of import!

  • Yesterday, I went to see a stage production of The Wizard of Oz, and now I want to write a Glee/Wizard of Oz fusion, because Glee has eaten my brain. (Kurt is Dorthy, and he's very bitter about the entire endeavor, ok, those shoes to not go with his purse bag. And his head trauma has apparently decided to ignore canon, because even in his own fantasy, Dorthy and Finn the Scarecrow don't get together.)

  • And also the fic where Puck and Mr. Schue bond while practicing Somewhere Over the Rainbow.

  • I made it home, btw, from my epic trip of epic driving aloneness. The driving part of decidedly unadventurous. Driving through Tennessee and Arkansas is boring.

  • [livejournal.com profile] musesfool made the mistake of pointing me toward [livejournal.com profile] schmoop_bingo. Here is my card. BEHOLD. )

  • I'm, uh, gonna need you all to talk me out of also signing up for the [livejournal.com profile] hc_bingo. KTHX.

a place where they will never find

Today, I ranaway from home long enough to go watch How to Train Your Dragon, which I loved. It was adorable and hilarious and adorable.

Then, after a light bought of shopping, I returned home to find my family over for a Memorial Day get together. This involved 6 children under the age of 5, you guys. I wanted to die. They didn't leave until after 9, the last hour of which was spent talking about how it was past their bedtimes and that's why they were so crabby and wouldn't stop crying. I was deeply unimpressed. I remain deeply unimpressed.

I also sold my soul signed another contract with [livejournal.com profile] luzdeestrellas for a year long word count writing challenge. I am determined to win this time. I am determined to win hard.

Um. This might require that you all remind me of it, from time to time.

I'm developing the language and I'm calling it my own

Claiming is open at [livejournal.com profile] tobreakthespell. Like a lunatic I've claimed Beauty and the Beast, because it's one of my favorite stories. I don't suppose anyone has an old version of the story hanging around anywhere, huh?

This weeks episode of Merlin (Beauty and the Beast, WHAT) is taking foreeeever. My internet connection has either decided a) that it is not my friend, or b) that I should really do that math homework I've got due. But Merlin! You guys, I'm crazy for this show, true fact.

Another show I'm already crazy for? White Collar. I want so much fanfic from that show already, it's ridiculous. Bantering and chasing and crime! And, you know, Bryce Larkin, who is hot like the suuun. Om nom nom, Bryce, I will probably never learn your real name.

I can't stop listening to Jason Mraz today. "We can rock the night alone / ff we never get down / it wouldn't be a let down / but sugar, don't forgetting / what you already know."

What's your favorite song RIGHT THIS SECOND?

file under: things I'll learn to regret

Consider this a legally binding internet contract, posted here so I have a place to point, when [livejournal.com profile] luzdeestrellas loses like the giant loser that she is, and the fails to pay up, like the giant loser that she is. Also, I need witness signatures, please.

1) From October 21, 2009, henceforth known as now, until December 31, 2009, henceforth known as the end of the year, I, [livejournal.com profile] angelgazing will be racing with [livejournal.com profile] luzdeestrellas (loser), to see who ends up with the highest posted fictional story word count at the end of the year.

2) The loser of this competition ([livejournal.com profile] luzdeestrellas), will owe the winner (me), a story of their won choosing, no later than March 15, 2010.

3) Extended absences, vacations, academic requirements of a ridiculous nature, fandom hate and/or despair do not exempt either competitor from the competition. Total word count of posted stories will be tallied on January 1, 2010, and a winner and loser declared. Failure to produce said word count, for any reason, is a loss.

4) Failure of the loser ([livejournal.com profile] luzdeestrellas) to comply with the terms listed in the second paragraph of this contract, will be considered default. Losers found to be in default of terms will be opened to public ridicule, loss of the internet, and even failure at life.

Signed,
