ain't nobody flies like my mister

Thing is, is that for Christmas one of the things my mom demanded was the Firefly DVD set. We were doubtful, but followed the request. Then we were sucked in. Sort of a lot.

I've seen every episode at least three times, and they never ever stop being funny and heartbreaking and whatever and the fact that so few people know this show and love this show both baffles me and breaks my heart.

That isn't the point of this post however.

The point is this: I just rewatched Our mrs. Reynold's and I just, just got around to watching the commentary for War Stories.

And I am in love with Alan Tudyk. And Wash. The both of them, I think, instead of just the one. I must make icons when I get home.

You've pretty much got to see it to understand it, I think, but my god. The look on his face when she's talking about the myth of Earth that was, the way he says "she could kill me with her pinkie", that he didn't do it, then there was the singing along to the theme song, and the jokes about how close Simon and River are and his big lunch before his shirtless scene and you know, I love him. Them. Whatever.

He's so my love this week. ::hearts::

I rewatched Out of Gas and War Stories last night and I *sobbed* when Zoe was dragging Wash out of Niska's place and he was all "Mal's crazy, man! I wouldn't have made it without him!" and then at the end with the wife soup...

*sobs*

Oh, in Our Mrs. Reynolds when Inara is rushing to Mal Zoe's inteh background with her, "Baby, baby, please wake up," and it broke me a little. I don't know why it is that I love them together so, so very much, but I do. They're perfect, I think, and it's just... she wouldn't be human without him sometimes, I think. And it makes me all hurty to know that.

Oh, god, I can't even talk about the soup. I refuse. These things hurt my heart or something equally girly.

The funny thing is in the commentary for War Stories Alan Tudyk kept calling Zoe "my baby" and that just. Seriously, I have more love for this show than can be told in words. I'm reduced to incohernt fangirly noises and flailing.

Yes. Exactly. That after everything that happened to her in the war, she was able to open up and love this guy who appears to be her total antithesis. Sigh. So much love...

I know!

I keep trying to analyze it and failing miserably. Like, I can see the flaws and understand people's complaints, but then I'm all, Wash! Zoe! Mal! MAL! Eeeeee! *flails*

See, where as I am all "Joss! Funny! Thigh-holsters! Tight shirts! Tight pants! Special hell! Violence! YAY!"

I'm very weird though. lol

My brother went out and bought the DVDs on Saturday, which sort of pleased me and sort of didn't because *I* wanted them to be mine, but, you know, at least we'd have them. Then he got drunk Saturday night (I also missed his drunken return home because I was out, which also displeased me, but that's another story) and he gave them to one of his friends to look after. Still not gone to collect them. Stupid boy.

I had no reason to comment, except that I wanted to say that I have no idea what you're talking about, and I won't until he starts behaving reasonably. Please make him.

Dude, that is so very not on that it's something even more different from on than off. You should like, beat him about the head with a rotten banana or something. (Soft, yes, but all squishy and gross.)

I know I can't believe last year when I heard of Firefly I thought it sounded weird and it took me ages to finally get around to buying the DVD and now I totally regret doing that. I think it's the first show EVER that I fell in love with within the first 10 minutes and it felt like a Joss Whedon show right from the start. That so few people loves Serenity baffles me and breaks my heart but I wanna dwell on the good and not the bad. Actually I'm pretty amazed by the amount of love that people who do love the show have for it. I've seen every episode more than 3 times too and it constantly amazes me how it gets better every time you watch it, that no matter how many times you watch it you can't stop loving it. And do you know what I really really love that wasn't in the movie? The theme song!! Well there was the guitar/acoustic version at the end of the credits but it's not the same...I love the music in the movie though, it's fantastic.

I love Wash, I can't stop thinking about Zoe/Wash and how they were maybe gonna have kids and well, I love Wash! And I love Zoe/Wash! *sobs* I kind of randomly want a Zoe/Wash icon and read Zoe/Wash fic. See and you were the one who pointed out to me Alan Tudyk's arms which I hadn't looked closely at before. hmm ever since Serenity actually, I've been in love with Nathan Fillion. And Mal.

ha I love the myth of Earth that was. Only Joss Whedon could write a sexual metaphor like that. hee. Omg I love the singing along to the theme song, still no one does it like Nathan Fillion. Sorry, I love Alan Tudyk too. Oh and I love the red button story, the one that Joss told or was it Tim in 'Out of Gas', how Alan gave Joss the red button and said, 'When your miracle gets here, press this.' I randomly love how Wash's dinasours are there in the movie.
