oh maybe you've been through this before

Have decided that I quit sugar.

And Pepsi.

Can I just say?

OW.

::grumps:: Withdrawls, man, theys a bitch. The only thing keeping me from saying "fuck it" is that, well, I said I could last at least until Sunday and everyone was "bwahahaha whatever." Proving the point is a great motivator, or something.

Have come to the point with writing where I'm all, "Listen, bitch, we've got a deadline comin' up. How about you stop being such a whore." And it's all, "Pft. Honey, honestly, what makes you think you the one who gets to make the call?" And, really, I can't argue with that point.

::clings to f-list::

You'll still love me, right?

I can't quit drinking diet pepsi. I need it, like most people need air. My sympathies.

::nods:: It's the caffiene. I swear, I don't think herion could be that addictive. Sadly, it wasn't my idea to quit, it was my dentist's. ::grumbles:: Thank you, dear, for your kind thoughts in this, my moment of need.

Honey, I was just thinking of you tonight! I've been out of Pepsi for three days now, and upon buying some tonight, I promptly drank two straight glasses. I was trying to persuade myself that I was just addicted to the carbonation or something (damn, those bubbles feel good in your mouth, hey?), but I think I know better. *sigh* More power to you, woman! Good luck with everything! :)

[identity profile] angelgazing.livejournal.com 2005-06-17 05:44 am (UTC)(link)
lmao Shhhh you're making me looong for it.

It really, really is the caffiene. I promise. I can do alright without Pepsi as long as I have tea. Unfortunately I can't stand to drink tea that isn't very, very sweet. So. Ugh. Water. ::sulks at it::

And thank you! ::bows:: I'll make it until Sunday. Then there is gonna be homemade ice cream and, well, forget this no-sugar thing. Though I'm pondering doing a thing where I just have a free day to eat sugery things. ::ponders:: Er. Sorry. lol You don't really care that much, I'm sure. ::pets::

*protests* I care! You can tell me as much as you want! And my recommendation for a Pepsi replacement is fruit juice, especially if it comes with bubbles. :) You get the natural sugars, plus it's good for you, and if there's carbonation it can sort of replace the feeling, if not the caffeine.

Home-made icecream?! Get out! Sounds delish. :) *pets back*

[identity profile] angelgazing.livejournal.com 2005-06-18 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
Ah. Fruit juice. I have Juicy Juice, because I'm five. But it's sour and all "No Sugar Added" and not at all what I want it to be. heh Course, at the moment, I mostly want it to be Pepsi. Oh, Pepsi... ::longs::

Home-made ice cream is nothing but fantastic. ::nods:: It is, I must say, the best thing ever. Next to Pepsi. heh. ::is addicted liek whoa::

oh yo're quitting sugar? hee I admire you for attempting to quit. It is pretty hard. lol I did go through the addicted to caffeine stage once where I had to drink it at least once a day which is crazy. I still drink it but not as often but it was pretty hard at first. And I still need to drink a lot of coffee or tea especially when I'm studying. *sigh* But it is sooo addictive. Anyway good luck!

[identity profile] angelgazing.livejournal.com 2005-06-18 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
See, once upon a time, a long, long time ago, I quit pop. I just drank a lot of Kool-Aid and tea, I guess, but I wasn't drinking pop, which is something. And so I know I can do it, I just don't think I'm gonna be doing it happily. Sugar is my friend, dammit, and it's not like I usually walk around with a dire need for it.

Thank you and good luck to you as well on the studying. ::nods::
