ARTHUR was hired because he's classy, okay, and because there was an issue with a botched seating chart before he came along. Also, his handwriting is great for addressing last minute invitations to forgotten relatives. Mostly Arthur wants all weddings to be super classy and traditional, and Eames keeps trying to bring in ridiculous things just to drive him nuts, and somehow the balance they strike between the two is perfect. And most people aren't sure what Eames really does--he is, Arthur knows, actually paid to find the band, because he always seems to know a guy, no matter what part of the world they're in--because all he ever seems to do is drive Arthur crazy and calm down the brides and grooms. Arthur very nearly likes him on other people's wedding days.
