does it make your life easier having someone around who's more of a loser than you are?

I have so, so, so much homework, an dmy computer has decided to develop a hate-on for Word. It. Won't. Stop. Freezing.

So, I'm thinking I need a new computer. Ideas? Tips? Something not, "drop $1500 on a MAC"?

You could drop a 1000 dollars on a Mac!

Or, you know... At least buy something that's faster than what you've got.

Faster is my goal! Faster, pussy cat, run, run, and so on and all that! I JUST WANT IT TO BE QUICKER. ::flails::

Get a HP G60t series, it is AWESOME. My Dad has one, i's the best I can think of that's at a decent price. =] It was only like 500$.

Really? I've heard horror stories about HP, but honestly, I'm not sure ANYTHING can be worse than my current Vaio. Thanks for the tip!

Haha. Obviously just read this. Clearly, you have broken the Sony. I conclude this is all your fault, and part of your general fail as a person.

In the interest of fairness, I'm fairly certain my current Vaio is so damn slow because it has 1GB of RAM and I usually have at least 5 windows open. The one I found that I really want is actually a Vaio, but it's also as much as a Mac, and so that was unhelpful. Stupid computers. Why do they control my life so?

Welcome. =] Glad to help =D

But MACS ARE SO EXPENSIVE. And... not possibly not compatible with my upper level programing courses I will eventually have to get to. Stupid programing.

Also, um, HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

I'm pretty sure you can get a good Dell desktop for about $700.

[identity profile] angelgazing.livejournal.com 2010-02-22 06:06 am (UTC)(link)
Really? I've never had a Dell. How are they?

Sigh. Chuck and Jeremy never have these problems.

Hmm. Problematic, then. Dropping the money on the Mac was obviously going to be my first suggestion.

My last one was a Vaio, which was pretty good. The high end ones are comparable to Mac prices, but there's a whole range of them.

Dropping the money on the Mac was going to be pretty much everyone's first suggestion. But I'm not sure that I can even use a Mac for the classes I'll have coming up next semester. But, but, everyone who has one loves it. I am really just very jealous of the whole thing.
