I know I'm not your favorite record...

Merlin people! Please to be telling me how old those characters are supposed to be?

You know how it feels when you're in a group of people and everybody's laughing, and telling jokes, and having an all around good time, and then you say something, and everybody else just stops, and stands there, and looks at you blankly?

If I could give my week an emotion that would be it.

Also, I'm having a bad hair day, and it keeps raining.

I'm so sorry about that uncomfortable feeling this week. It sounds rotten. :(

That's the main thing I stopped by to say; I've got nothing else useful. Nothing on Merlin ages--I only just watched the first season and can't shake my impression of Camelot 90210 (which means they're all high school aged, right?).

I hope your week gets better!

Today I told one of my professors, "Don't take this personally, but I'm pretty sure all my professors are conspiring to kill my will to live." She laughed like I was joking, so I'll take it as a win, and a lift on the uncomfortableness of the rest of the week.

::hugs::

For the record, I would probably read the hell out of Camelot 90210, though I refuse to watch either version of the real things. lol

How have you been doing?

:)

I've been doing . . . okay. This summer has basically sucked, and I'm glad it's over. I've felt like I'm coming out from under a dark cloud, so that's an improvement I guess. I'm looking forward to the changes that fall will bring.

I think I started reading a Merlin highschool AU once . . . I'll have to see if I can find it again.

::hugs:: I'm sorry your summer was bad, but I'm also glad that you're looking forward to fall. Hopefully it'll live up to all it can. :)

lol Highschool AU might be the one kind of Merlin fic I haven't read. I so went crazy and devoured all of it I could get my hands on as comfort reading after the Panic break up. I handle conflict so well. lol

Ohhh, Panic, yes. So sad! I can totally understand the need for comfort reading. I think of the Panic stories I've read and part of my mind says, ridiculously, "Does that mean Brendon and Ryan aren't actually in love?" Thanks, fandom, for seriously skewing my perspective of real-life events. But it's funny what deep emotional resonance those events have.

It was heartbreaking! I felt like I'd lost a friend. I mean, in a lot of ways it wasn't as bad for me as it was for others, because I'd pretty much switched to a full-time Spencer/Brendon shipper by then. (Because they are dorks, and failboats, and married or something.) I still can't really listen to Live in Chicago, because when Ryan and Jon start talking I get so, so sad.

If you're interested, Dreams From the Other Side (http://tigs.livejournal.com/710318.html) by [livejournal.com profile] tigs is a pretty great, sort of epic story, that goes through the divorce pretty in depth, but still stays a story about two boy and their dog, at the same time. It's Brendon/Spencer though, so if that's not you're thing I totally understand.

Thank you for the rec! There aren't many ships I'm wedded to, so I'm v. happy to have this to read. I love long stories.

Also, your icon! How appropriate! *sadface*

[identity profile] angelgazing.livejournal.com 2009-09-25 07:26 am (UTC)(link)
lol I am always happy to rec. It's a little bit stupid how much I enjoy fanfiction, really. I spend entirely too much time with it than I should, considering the massive amounts of homework I always have to do lately. lol

I totally can't give up that icon! I sadface at it everything though. This one too, actually. I'm sadfacing at it now. It's my "nobody ships panic like panic" icon.
