varying levels of awesomenisity
Motion City was seriously at least seventeen kinds of awesome. They've got a shitload of energy onstage. Their drummer broke his arm, so we had a replacement, who did pretty damn good, I think.
It's funny cause MCS is half the same crowd of teenage girls, I'm used to, and half loud, half drunk college boys that I want to elbow in the face. Actually I wanted to elbow a lot of people in the face, but, whatever. At this point it almost wouldn't be a concert without me nearly getting into a fight because I'm not going to give up my spot. I stood outside in the rain, when it was all of 38 degrees. I'm not going to let anyone push me aside because I'm closer than they are. Fuck that.
There was one person in front of me and her knees were practically on the stage. I was not moving.
Now I feel it. lol But that's alright. It was my workout for the day.
Anyway, it was awesome. Very awesome. Epic levels of awesome, even.
I so don't even remember most of the set list, because I suck like that, but they opened with Attractive Today, which, yeah, was kind of perfect. Make Out Kids was fucking fantastic, even with him forgetting some of the lyrics. LGFUAD god, this song. Everything is Alright is one of those songs that's pretty much made for live shows, in a way that makes it one of my very favorites. There's kind of nothing like an entire crowd of people screaming at the top of their lungs "tell me that it's alright" and "head for the hills, the kitchen's on fire."
I don't even have words for The Future Freaks Me Out, really, I just don't.
Like I said, awesome.
