--basically it's a story of being in love with the person no one thinks you should be. It's having to come to terms with who you are and what you want and learning to be okay with that, in face of everything you've ever been taught--

AHHHHHHH!!!!

-- It's Arthur being so fucking in love that he isn't content with just whatever place he can carve out for them, because he wants more, he wants it all, and he wants Eames, and it's all he can do just to hold onto that.---

SWOONS! Definitely not above your pay grade. I read the snippet and I love it. Its so subtle, the little touches (to his hips), the way I can see them breathing in each other's space, the rain--the RAIN (Idk, I have a thing), the soft way Eames replies and of course he's going to go inside when Arthur asks...and Arthur will let himself be late because he wants to have this moment with Eames...and Eames touches his cheek--that's all, he just touches his cheek...and it's everything, it's enough but it's not enough, the way that nothing is every enough when you're a teenager because all these things--rules and life and your history and the structure confining you in and all the things you're wrestling with--tie you in while you're also spiraling apart.

And the way Arthur is thinking, thinking, thinking and hyper aware of them, who they are to each other and all the sensory details. OMG there's nothing like first love, and there's nothing like first love when you're trying to come out. And I need to go finish my paper before I expire because this snippet and idea took my breath away.

YOU WIN THE INTERNET, My Friend. THE INTERNET.
