YAY AT LEAST YOU DIDN'T STEAL ALL THE HEARTS!

LOL You are such an enabler. Apparently there is nothing I won't do for pretty pictures. ::hands::

He starts off small. Just his hand on Arthur's shoulder, as he leans over to get a file. And if Arthur's tense for five minutes after the fact, well, that's just more to Eames' amusement. Eames is a very patient man. He never would've made it so far with Arthur if he was anything less. He waits out the three fifteen-hour working days that follow with just that touch during business hours, until Arthur's stopped snapping to attention every time it happens. He waits two more for Arthur to start leaning into it.

No one else notices, of course. Because Cobb is too caught up in missing Mal, and Ariadne is too caught up in Cobb, and Yusuf is Yusuf. Saito might notice, if he were around, but luckily he sometimes has to pretend to actually run an extremely powerful multi-billion dollar company, instead of just flaunting the perks of the job.

And Arthur seems to realize as well, because on day six, when Eames' slides his hand from Arthur's shoulder to the back of his neck, he only makes a soft, pleased little noise that does untold things to Eames' ability to not push him onto the closest available horizontal surface to have his way with him. Eames tugs on the short hairs at the nape of Arthur's neck, where they're just beginning curl upward, because he can't help it. Because Arthur makes him weak, sometimes.

Arthur swallows, hard, and doesn't pull away.

It's the single greatest victory Eames has ever known.
