to whom it may concern
I totally have a Psychology test tomorrow, and have managed to read absolutely none of the chapters. I also have a 3-5 page paper due in Humanities on Wednesday. It's worth 20 percent of my grade, and I haven't picked what it's going to be on yet, because I am a giant loser like that.

Instead of, you know, working on those things, I caught up on Merlin. I'm not going to give spoilers, because other people have probably already said it better than I could. I'm just going to inform you all that I would like to draw a thousand sparkly hearts all over Arthur, and Merlin, and those two dude that play them, also. Especially Bradley James. Actually, he may get a couple of thousand sparkly hearts. Or a million. Or whatever. I'm fond of the dude, is what I'm saying, and also I am very fond of that last episode of Merlin.

What I am not fond of, is the fact that I cannot leave my room without being assaulted by that Twilight nonsense. If I didn't already hate it on principle I certainly would now. Yesterday, while looking for a Christmas gift for my aunt, my mom picked up a Twilight poster. I told her to put it down, and then to go wash her hands because they were now dirty. I'm not rational in this hatred, but that does not stop the burn of it.

This should maybe go in its own post, but I'm sort of lazy. So.

Dear Person Unfortunately Enough to Get Me for Yuletide,

Hello, you probably don't know me, and probably now think I should be shipped off to an asylum of some sort. I promise, I'm not as bad as I seem. Or so I've been told.

I'm not going to go into details with each fandom I requested, because what I put in the details, really, is all I care about. I love slash, gen or het, whatever you feel like giving me. I believe on all of them I listed pairings or gen as a-ok with me.

In general, I love banter; UST; pining; fake!dating; arranged, convenient, and/or accidental marriages; mocking; people who call each other names in place of saying something sappy or romantic; romance novel and/or romcom tropes; banter; heists; zombies; little touches; pranks; BFFs; good grammar; characters who are nuts about good grammar sometimes; crack fic; and, oh yeah, banter.

I dislike bad characterization; meanness; character bashing; character death; humiliation for amusement; noncon; first person; and overwrought emo angst.

But really, write a story you like, have fun, and I'm sure I'll love it too. Thanks for taking on this challenge!

don't be silly, I always have a list of demands handy
Things I want:
- A version of iTunes Genius for fanfic. Or at the very least someone to set up something that's all "if you like this story, you might enjoy ______."
- Homework to STFU and DIE. OMG.
- Math to stop sucking so much.
- Someone to write a kind-of-but-not-quite Princess Bride AU with... any one of my bandom ships will do, really. True love and sword fights and... Wait, that sounds like Merlin...
- NEW MERLIN ALREADY IT HAS BEEN TOO LONG.
- Shiny happy cliche fic recs. With fluff, and roadtrips, and fake!boyfriends, and accidental or arranged marriages, and pining, and UST, and happy endings of all kinds. They don't all have to be in the same fic, granted, but I want. ::makes gimmie hands::

I'd be inclined to be yours for the takin'
Confession:

I'm kind of stupid about kid!fic. It's totally dumb, because I don't even like kids! But put a tiny baby with a hot boy and I swoon and swoon.

Anyone want to explain that one to me?

& this is why people should be serving my needs.
OMG I finally, finally, finally got to watch this weeks SPN. God, I love this show. The banter! The boys. The expressions Sam makes! They way he looks at Dean with a stupid grin and heart eyes. HEART EYES.

I'm not even kind of exaggerating. That's what's so awesome.

But.

But the beginning of the episode made me really, really, really want that, like, 1920's silent film actor J2 AU. THINK OF HOW AWESOME IT WOULD BE! )

Seriously. Where is this fic? I need it in my life. HELP ME, F-LIST I BEG YOU. My soul is crying for silent film actor au fic!

I was thinking earlier (again) about my fic kinks. The things I just can't turn down/ turn away from/ not love. UST is totally on the list. It's like pining, but hot like Spencer Smith before the pornstache (wtf, Spencer Smith, for real?) I like me some pining, too. UST, pining, accidentally boyfriends/married, roadtrip fic and wallsex.

I like my crack fic sexpollen flavored, too. IDEK.

Probably I should go to bed and leave you all alone. Hmmmm....

so many people just gave up
So, everyone has little things they fall for every time in fic. Yes, even you. Admit it. Everyone has a list of things that'll make them flail about and lean just a little closer to the monitor and shiver, in the right ways.

My list?
1) roadtrip fic - because it's all about the journey.
2) pining - wanting something, whether it's right in front of you or 1,00- miles away. There's something about longing that's... lonely and hard and wonderful, when it finally comes around.
3) wall!shoving/sex/man handling - it's the strength of the feeling, that you get to the point where you just snap and shove and kiss. Hot.
4) neck touching - there's something about the little movements, the slight touches that can be innocent, but usually aren't.

There are other things, but it's late and I'm sleepy and really, I'd like to hear yours.

No, really.

Tell me.
