well then. let's do this thing.
In the course of a week I have given up the ghost of delicious and LJ. I can still be found across the board (including pinboard, but not tumblr, because I know a time vampire when I see one) with the same username. I'm more active on twitter later, just because 140 characters doesn't exactly require a lot of time.
Work is a lot of work. It's frustrating, and exhausting, and I have gotten sick more this year than in the last four. I have no social life--online or off--and a 15 hour day is actually just pretty normal. I'm living the dream, you guys, and I probably wouldn't trade it for anything.
So I've been mostly inactive in fandom, but that doesn't mean the outrage doesn't stand. I still love things. I still lurk. I still throw out completely random stories that I long for on twitter, and try to convince people to write them for me.
I've been toying with the idea of a Grimm meme of some sort, since I've fallen head over heels for it. (And Avengers. I don't even know, I wish I did.) But that's more than just a little out with the new LJ changes, and, whatever, there are only so many times I'm going to let a service make me feel like the money I pay is worth less than people who use it for a different kind of social networking. I'm a fan, and LJ has always been the one place that I didn't need to feel bad about that, but times, they are different now, it seems.
Anyway, I've had this account for two and a half years now, so I figure if there's going to be a change, I should do it in style.

your body told me in a dream it's never been afraid of anything
Steve was bored before Bucky'd even managed to form calluses. They'd spent so long fumbling their way through Karma Police that Bucky's fingertips were raw, but Steve was an artist--Steve was the real deal, in every single way--and he was never going to be happy copying someone else's work.
Bucky laughed, unsurprised. He shook out his fingers like that would make them better at shaping chords, just wiggle the batteries, blow in the Nintendo. He didn't have to agree, because there wasn't a question.
There was never a place Steve wanted to go, or a thing he wanted to do, that Bucky didn't want to be by his side for. Besides. No one ever made it big by being a fucking cover band. It was just logical.
"What'd you have in mind?" Bucky asked instead, because Steve has never come to the table empty handed.
"Look," Steve said, looking down, his bass next to him so he could pull everything out of his backpack and onto Bucky's--mostly--clean floor. Algebra 2 book, pencil box, Catcher in the Rye. "We should call it a night--I mean, we've got to get those essays written." History book, sketchpad, folder of sheet music.
"Steve," Bucky said, frowning, as Steve pulled out a plain white notebook, barely bigger than his palm. "What the fuck. We should try it."
Steve laughed, ran his thumb across the edges of the pages. "Yeah, we can try, probably. For a little while longer."
Bucky kicked his foot, and worried about the day that Steve did like his mom kept threatening and grew into his feet. They'd need higher ceilings. "We can do it, you know."
"What makes you so sure?" Steve asked, his eyes narrowed. He didn't fight for it when Bucky stole the notebook though and started flipping through it.
There were poems, poetry. Lines from other songs that were crossed out. A line of notes he'd been hearing Steve hum for days. The word they'd pulled out of the dictionary at random, the time they played Scrabble against Steve's parents. It was beautiful, even at random.
Bucky kicked him again. "Don't be an idiot, Steve," he said, putting the book down to try and play the chords, suddenly in need of a distraction for his fingers. "We can do anything."

Plus, I've been wanting to tell you my silly little Grimm ficcish thought that happened at 2am last night/yesterday.today/WHY IS TIME WEIRD, and that is hard to do in 140 characters so. Um. Here.
I just want the one where somehow Monroe's house becomes like, misunderstood beings central / Grimm HQ.
Like, at first it was just Holly coming around for some general Blutbaden (Blutbad? HOW DO YOU GERMAN?) behavioral lessons. But Roddy started hanging out too, once he kind of got over his fear the Nick and Monroe were going to eat him or whatever. And obviously Nick just comes and goes whenever he feels like it, but it just gets so much worse.
Monroe has *stray cats* now. Which just proves that cats are the craziest animals he can think of because what other creature would so blatantly invade a blutbad's territory? Present company excluded, of course. They were technically welcome, to some degree.
And Nick just keeps *finding people* and Monroe apparently has no ability to say no to Nick, which is something he wishes he didn't know about himself, because this is getting kind of ridiculous. He has STRAY. CATS.
aaaaaand that's as far as I got.

You should tell me about that time Arthur realized not all of Eames' tattoo were horrible! Or you could tell me about Monroe's first Christmas! Here is a picture his mum took
